I talked to the sky one night

Flirted with the stars and kissed the moon

Confessed through the clouds, and listened

And cried when the sky couldn’t find its voice

I sang to the sea one night

Called as the waves came and went

Realized the water could speak, so I listened

But cried when the sea was too tired to talk

I danced with the trees one morning

And listened as they swayed with the wind

Learned that though I was the one with ears

I wasn’t the only one without fears

I laughed at the fool one day

Who said the universe lost its way

But then forgave him for his words

Cause the way we hear isn’t always clear
